Well here's a fix that isn't so well documented or I just never found it. My wife (it's her car) drove to work and shut off the car but the blower fan for A/C remained running full blast. She had to remove the fuse to shut it off, and this I have seen a few times posted in the forum. It turns out to be either the resistor pack for non-ecc, or for ecc it is the fan electronic speed controller that has gone kaput. The fan controller new is $135 which is a bit excessive in my opinion. So I decided to rebuild it. A speed controller's heart is a mosfet transistor which is usually the most likely to fail, and after testing, it was the problem. This transistor is a tenth of the cost of replacing the whole controller so I figured I had nothing to lose. I am no motherboard builder, or circuit designer by a long shot, but just able to solder and use a multimeter. So after descrambling the markings on the burned transistor I ordered a new one from Digikey (p/n irfp064n) and a new varistor (p/n p7313-nd) which is the other large thing on the circuit board. Replaced the components today, checked the fan for obstructions and buttoned everything up and it runs like new!! Forums like this have been a godsend for this car and my other cars and anytime there is a fix a diyer can do and save a lot of money is something that I must share. Mike
