Oil delivery pipe, replacement

Background

The oil delivery pipe for the turbocharger (TC) may be partially blocked with thick oil as a result of overheating. On 6 cylinder engines, the oil delivery pipes for both the turbochargers (TC) and the coolant pipe for the front turbocharger (TC) must be replaced when replacing either of the turbochargers (TC).

Materials

Replacing the front turbocharger (TC)             1

When replacing the front turbocharger (TC) the coolant pipe (1) and the oil delivery pipe (2) must be replaced. The oil delivery pipe for the rear turbocharger (TC) must also be replaced (see the next step).

Replacing the rear turbocharger (TC)              2

When replacing the rear turbocharger (TC), the oil delivery pipes for both turbochargers (TC) must be replaced. The coolant pipe for the front turbocharger (TC) must also be replaced.
