Checking Throttle Unit Power And Ground Terminal

• Check fuse 11 B/2. If the fuse is blown check circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground according to See: Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures\Related Tests, Information and Procedures\Checking Wiring and Terminals
• Check power supply to throttle unit #6. Voltage should be approximately battery voltage.

Checking ground terminal

• Check ground lead between throttle unit #5 and engine ground terminal ETM 31/91 for an open-circuit according to See: Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures\Related Tests, Information and Procedures\Checking Wiring and Terminals
• Check throttle unit ground terminal for contact resistance and oxidation according to See: Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures\Related Tests, Information and Procedures\Checking Wiring and Terminals

• Power supply to the electronic throttle module #6 is from fuse 11 B/2 via the system relay.
• Ground terminal electronic throttle module (ETM) 31/91 for the throttle unit is located on the front of the cylinder block above the starter motor
