Re: 98 V70- What should I do while the engine is out of the car ?

Thanks for all the answers I'm adding heater/coolant hoses, front crank seal and cam seals to the list. I'll inspect the power steering and replace if needed, as those are quite pricey. I will most likely pull the engine up and out, I don't have enough room in my garage to drop the subframe :x Once ...

That looks pretty good. I guess you could take care of the oil pump seal/gaskets. But those things rarely fail. Post pics!! The gasket kit looks cheap, but that might be one of those things that you shouldn't fix if it aint broke :?: I will have to do a bit of research on that topic I would look ha...

It is very shallow, there's less than an inch under the dash pad. I tried taking pictures but it's already nightime so they look crap + I only have a tape mesure. I removed the retainer clip using C clip pliers, it works great.

My V70 needs a radiator as well, planning on getting a Nissen but I'm not sure about aftermarket hoses (anyone knows if Gates hose are any good ? )

Had a Volvo sunday :D Started by lowering the front of the car 25mm, it does look way nicer that way. I definitely need stiffer springs in the rear tho. Coilovers are in ! The front was a piece of case, basically 4 nuts and 2 bolts. The rear took more time since the shock eye didn't want to fit on the stud, I had to get the dremel and make it slightly larger. https://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/16/41/73/43/img_2126.jpg https://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/16/41/...

Mine is currently running on a mix of E85 and RON 95-E10. Simple reason being that E85 is at least half the price of 95, sometimes a third.
LTFT is at 20% which sounds legit and I get a 20% worse mpg, but still make it cheaper to keep the brick on the road

Re: 1999 V70T5M56 turbo oil line RR 9458504

Re: Unknown hose missing at intake '98 V70 Turbo

not sure in Europe, but the 2.5t would be a later engine, it hadn't been invented in '97. will be fast. Just edited my profile, my car was made in '97 but it's a 98 model according to the VIN :P Feel down under the Air cleaner near the Engine/Firewall corner you will find it unless somebody removed...

Re: Unknown hose missing at intake

Do you have a sticker under hood with vacuu:hose diagrams? There are a lot of variations of emission controls on these cars so you mightnot have anything connected there I haven't found a sticker, if there's one where should it be ? It's a belgian made car for the french market, so I would guess it...

Unknown hose missing at intake '98 V70 Turbo

Hi, Now that I'm done with big issues, I'm trying to fix all the small stuff and I'm stuck at a missing hose on the intake. It's been blocked with a screw https://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/16/41/73/43/img_2084.jpg Car is a 1998 V70 2.5T (B5254T) and the hose nipple is right after the MAF. I can't seem t...

So far I really like how it looks on a pc :)

I'm not really used to have the "user card" on the right, but other than that it's all good

Re: 97 V70 Front passenger speakers not working

I had some free time this afternoon, so I started troubleshooting. Dolby speaker looks dirty but fine http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/12/4/1553196434-img-20190321-164322.jpg The reading seems legit http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/12/4/1553196437-img-20190321-165142.jpg I've checked...

97 V70 Front passenger speakers not working

Hi everyone, I got a 97 V70 a few weeks ago, and just noticed the front passenger speakers aren't working: having never messed with audio stuff, I don't know where to start the troubleshooting. The car has a SC900 with the Dolby Prologic The front passenger door, the dash and the dolby speakers aren...
