Thanks RickHaleParker, did all that nothing worked, the technician traced the wires from under the fuse panel in the engine bay and found a bridged wire suppling current to the fuses and corrected it and it worked fine.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑11 Mar 2019, 12:32 With the remote: Lock\Unlock five times then try to start.

Re: S40 2008 throwing a code p0011
Check the battery, Low voltage can cause these symptoms. Check the fuses and connections on the CEM (Under the dash, passenger's side). All fuse at CEM ok, no blown one, reconnected all sockets , even checked all the fuses in the engine compartment. It only makes a huming sound and writes brake fai...

Re: S40 2008 throwing a code p0011
Always list the full code number and don't shorten them up! P0011 not 0011. The P tells us something. There is a B0011, C0011 and a U0011 also. The codes communicate a lot more than symptoms do. There is more then one O2 code. Hold off on replacing the O2 sensor. Replacing an O2 sensor is an option...

I need to clarify something, what's the difference between the cam reset valves and the vvt solenoids? Welcome to the English language which often has two or more words, or names, for the same thing. Cam Reset Valve is what Volvo calls the part, VVT solenoid is a common name for a Cam Reset Valve. ...

I need to clarify something, what's the difference between the cam reset valves and the vvt solenoids? Cant seems to locate the cam reset valve on my t5 2.4i non turbo s40 2008 engine, all I see is one sticking out big soleniod just before the first ignition coil from the passenger side. Is that the...

Re: S40 2008 throwing a code p0011
Thanks for the info, will try and clean the reset valves and get back to you, if it works fine, if it doesn't will get it replaced.
Also found out the throttle body is bad, changed it and the performance increased to about 80% but the code p0011 still comes on. Will keep u posted.
