unfortunatly I think the trannys volvo uses are very inadequate. I've gone through a tranny on my 94 855 (warranty-replaced, thank God!) and I had a scare that my 93 854 was gonna go out about a month or two ago.

it was a combination of bad t-stat and Front O2 sensor. Had to take it to a mechanic to get this one fixed...

If it does not stall in neutral then you will need a new torque converter.

I'd look for a 94 w/sunroof or 95. Those years were after the inital development "public test" (first models) and they're before they got complicated with obd2 service resets and such.

There should be a round connector that plugs into the changer... that's what you need to connect.
