Thank you very much, i will say the reason I suspect that the fault code is Not causing the shift issues is the fact that it only happens once the transmission comes up to temperature, when its cold it shifts just like any normal vehicle, once its to temp it slams and acts up only at shift points ...

I appreciate the response, I'm fully capable of replacing the valve body I've just never worked on a Volvo and I have no factory service manuals no data sheets or any kind of information to go off of.

I suppose the true test will be when I drop the fluid if there's any kind of debris or material ...
