First you should really get the DTCs ( D iagnostic T rouble C ode) read, either at a dealer or you find someone with VIDA and a DICE/VCX or get one yourself. Especially with this message it is nearly impossible to find the errors without using a readout tool, sorry.

Other alternatives, known to be working with VIDA, are "VCX Nano" from VXDiag ( here ) or, maybe even better suited for you, from iCarsoft the "CR v2.0" ( here ). The latter is for 10 different manufacturers, should therefor work with Volvo _and_ Toyota. :) Unfortunately I only can find it on a GB ...

If you have VIDA or another diagnostic reader, the exact codes (DTCs) would be good.

On a side note: not that this forum isn't really great, but you may get some better answers for your problem, if you ask in a forum that is based in a country, where the D5 was actually sold, eg. GB or other ...
