I was correct in my hypothesis that MKR Shield for some reason was not able to communicate with the bench cem. Adding 120hm termination to the uno allows it to communicate. In the process of cracking one of my bench cems now that my bosch transceivers came in.

I wish I did... an oscilloscope is my next electronics purchase. I have 1 hypothesis after hooking up a DIM to the CEM. My Arduino mkr wifi canbus shield has a switch to enable 120 ohm termination. The DIM powers up when I have it connected, but it still wont log. My arduino uno does not have 120 oh...

Just edited my post above with the link, yes my CAN Shield for the MKR has the 16mhz oscillator as does my arduino uno can shield

I'm honestly not sure... how important is that? I just tested the code I shared and was able to log my OBD2 port with it just fine.

So I wouldn’t even get a single message sent to me via canbus before it falls asleep? I have 3 dim’s and connectors sitting around to play with, I just hook them up to the can network and share the 12v source?
