Re: Brake lights, fuel gauge, trunk opening all gone same time

Test if disconnecting the battery for 10mins helps :). The REM can fall asleep apperently. Mine has shown similar symptoms and making it out of power helped.

What does the gap have to do with preussare? If the gap is too large on the magnetic clutch it will not engage at any preasure :). If gap is correct it will only engage at correct preasure. Your thinking is either it's on or off, black or white when there is a in between gray area. Think of a stand...

Is it kind of a turbine sound? Some time when I start the card and drive off it sounds abit like a turbine in frist two gears. Goes away after abit of driving :).

Re: Auto Gearbox Clunk Issue

Dipstick measures ATF level in sump. When sump is almost dry because of clogged filter the level will be low. Let it sit for some time, the ATF will slowly drain to sump, the level recovers. Oh okay, I understood it differently. My car when sitting for a few days have high level of fluid on the sti...

Re: Auto Gearbox Clunk Issue

You may have a clogged filter. Check the level first thing in the morning, without starting the car. If the level is high, but drops severely after some driving time that would indicated a problem with filter. How does high level when sitting for some time indicate filter problem? I'm just trying t...

Re: Anal retentive

Is the piston in the caliper is pushed in too quickly and withput the bleeder valve open the seals in the master cylinder might get "turned" or be damaged. Usualy going slow will be enought but upening bleeder is better in that regards but might require bleeding afterwards. Didnt know anything about...

Re: Anal retentive

Be sure to carefully and slowly press in the caliper piston. Prefferably with lid removed from brake fluid reservoar. Nice to have someone monitor the level of fluid so it does not spill out. Also i clean all the surfaces from crap and make sure all contact points on the pads and the caliper braket ...
