Re: My AC Problem
Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I took my S70 to an import indy shop who told me it was my ECC module and wanted to charge me like $1100. I purchased a used one and that didn't solve my problem either. I bought some feeler gauges and checked my clutch gap which was was more than 0.6mm. I prin...

My AC Problem
Last summer, I blew my hose from the condenser to the compressor. I had it replaced and the AC system recharged and I was back on the road again. At around 70K, the previous owner had the evaporator replaced under warranty. Soon after I had the AC hose replaced, I began having problems with my AC no...

Re: Alarm Help!
Thanks Marco and MadeInJapan. As luck would have it (still Saint Patrick's week and I'm Irish) , I found my remote in the parking lot. It finally broke (the key ring hole). However, it still works. I guess I need to get a spare. In the meantime, I'll now know what to do if I lose it again. 98 S70 GL...

Alarm Help!
I lost my remote control from my key ring.... Fortunately, my driver's window was down so I have access to the interior, but of course I can't start the engine. I tried disconnecting the battery in hopes of resetting the alarm, but that doesn't work. Any ideas on resetting the alarm? I'm at least 75...

98 S70 AC Question
Hi Everybody: Last week I started my GLT and smoke/vapor immediately escaped from underneath the front hood. I checked the engine compartment and couldn't find any liquid and realized it must have been Freon that escaped. That must have been it since I don't have cool air now. My guess is that I ble...

Front Strut
I was reading this thread as I have a real bad "thumping" noise in the right front, especially on rough roads. I replaced my sway bars but that didn't solve the problem. In reading Peter00228980's post which he describes in part " Pop your hood, grab the top bushing sticking up from y...
