Re: 2006 V70 134A Freon Charge Amount
The Nissens is probably good at $75.
According to FCPEuro, it is made in China.
Valeo is OEM, but it is $200.
Next time do the whole thing yourself and save $.
Autozone etc. rents the vacuum pump for free.
I have the equipment to do it myself, I have the knowledge and skills to do it myself ...

AC Update
Found the Condenser to hold a vacuum but leak under pressure. I ordered a new Nissen Condenser from FCPEuro and had it installed. All of the source material told the shop to put 2.2pounds of 134A in as a charge. They did and the system operated fine with a 40* Delta between ambient air ...

Re: 2006 V70 2.5T Brake Pressure Switch and AC Pressure Switch Faults
Does anyone know what the range in resistance the Brake Position Switch is supposed to read through its length of travel?
I need to troubleshoot the switch and wiring/connectors before I throw parts at it.
Thanks

Re: 2006 V70 2.5T Brake Pressure Switch and AC Pressure Switch Faults
Jimmy,
I had one code that showed Brake Pressure Switch which I cleared and hasn’t come back. Now I’m showing a code for Brake Position. I’m thinking the Brake Position Switch is the fault preventing the Cruise Control to engage. The strange part for me understand (I don’t have a wiring diagram so ...

Re: 2006 V70 2.5T Brake Pressure Switch and AC Pressure Switch Faults
Found that the AC Condenser has a small leak that only shows up when the system is pressurized. It holds a vacuum no problem.
I ordered a Nissen Condenser.

Re: 2006 V70 134A Freon Charge Amount
Here is an update.
The system held vacuum fine so the AC Shop filled the system with 1.54 pounds of 134A and the system functioned perfectly except a small leak was detected in the condenser. So they evacuated the system and now a search for the best condenser begins as a replacement that is also ...

2006 V70 134A Freon Charge Amount
2006 V70 134A AC Charge.
I read in the Volvo Owners Manual the charge is supposed to be 2.2 pounds, I read Motor Specification Guide it’s supposed to be 2.2 pounds. Yet the Placard on the car says 1.54 pounds!
Which is it?
