I will check the belt Saturday just in case and I'll check the power steering resovoir. I've already picked up fluid from the local Volvo dealer and ouch that was expensive ...

I will have to wait until Saturday to do the test. We have a rush project at work. Another consultancy dropped the ball and we have 72 hours to straighten out their mess.
If it is the belt, what nightmare am I looking at if I decide to change it myself?
