Well this is a genuine Volvo part, made in Germany as a matter of fact, so I felt assured that this would be an easy install. And although you may have a very good point, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "turn the magnet" ...do you mean physically remove the magnet from it's hold...

Yes I'm the same way. I always try to reinvent the wheel. So asap I will pull the confounded thing apart again and see if I can get lucky. I will post if I do. Please say a good Act Of Contrition for me if you get a chance.
