Re: Front Running lights.

The corner lights have clips that just pop in/out. I have an oem passenger side headlight (removed from my ‘99v70R after upgrade to jewels) and corner (parts pile), just pay for shipping and they are yours. Re: How important are trailing arm links (aka transverse arm bushings)?

I changed both of mine and it Immediately tightened up the rear-end. I would say it’s worth it and not that difficult of a job. I used the Volvo tool and a little heat. I learned later from others that more heat, essentially melt the rubber inside the arm, would’ve saved me a bunch of time.

1998 S70 GLT 215k $2500 Concord NC

Picked up a 1999 V70R so my ‘98 S70 GLT needs to find a new home. Hopefully, a fellow P80 nut picks this up. All major maintenance plus tasteful mods (a 3” Downpipe would still be nice) performed within last few years. Details in the linked Craigslist Ad https://charlotte.craigslist.org/for/d/concor...

Re: Financial Distress Parts Program

I have some parts that I will never use and have no room to store. Anyone can have them and if you cannot afford full shipping I will pitch in. Parts from a ‘98 S70 GLT include 13g turbo (~200k miles), stock ECU, stock injectors, front & rear springs, corner lights. P2 parts from a ‘07 V70 (~90k...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Dragged my old '98 GLT home from Copart! Ended up winning the auction on Monday after the owner after me wrecked the car back in August. This will be a parts car at this point, I don't think it's worth fixing it. Hooked up the jump pack when I got home and it started right up. Runs great still! Dro...

Boost Issues on my '98 S70

Boost on my ‘98 S70 GLT... thanks to bmdubya for already giving me advice. Car is essentially Stage 0. Running 16T w/stock T5 ECU and white injectors. Does not burn oil. Recently replaced vacuum lines... no leaks, verified with smoke test. Recently installed pierburg P2R TCV. CBV holds vacuum at 15i...

Re: 1998 S70: Broken Kickdown Boot? New Throttle Cable?

I replaced mine a few months ago at the engine side of firewall. I referenced the new throttle cable assembly on what was holding it in place and with a screwdriver just broke the plastic tabs on the one coming out then it fed through fine.

I used a breaker bar, it was a bear of a job without using enough heat to melt the outer plastic shell on the bushing.
