2005 S40 - lost keys.. I have a parts car w/ CEM,keys and ECM though?
Before I go down the route of trying to get a new key made for my car, as a dealer is two hours away, I was wondering if I could swap the CEM, the ECM and use the keys from my parts car? Both cars are 2005. Does anything else need to be swapped like the DIM or the alarm module? I know someone here o...

Re: PEM location on 2007 C30 T5
Connected to the rear trailing arm on passenger side. I’ve fixed 2 so far just giggling the wires. Lots of corrosion inside and on the connector both times but still working months later.

2005 2.4i - s4 and s7 engine interchangeable?
2005 s40 2.4i - Can I swap s4 and s7 engines? Will ecm or other components need swapping as well ? Or is it just emissions and bolt on parts that make the difference? Ty

Re: What did you do on your P1 Volvo today?
I prayed that my F-I-L didn't screw up the timing belt replacement process. He told me 2 weeks ago that he just needed to install a plate for the (Rear Timing cover plate, or something like that) because he did the timing belt, tensioner, pulley, and water pump replacement. Again, that was two week...

Re: Which VIDA/DICE unit to buy?
Your link isn’t working for me. Years ago I bought a $80 clone knockoff. Still going well. Not sure what the current tariffs might do to the price though. Might want to wait a bit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/126963483422 This is like what I bought. When I got mine they were touting the circuit board b...

2004 xc90 passenger wiper blade orientation
I took my wiper blades and arms off and got them mixed up. I finally figured out that the longer arm/shorter curved blade goes on the passenger side, while the shorter arm/longer straight blade goes on the driver side. My question is, does the curve of the passenger blade go up like the letter “n” o...

Re: Volvo XC90 - Why you love yours!
Just picked up an ‘04 2.5t w/ 300k miles on the car and a replaced motor. It’s got a nice list of issues but I love it! I currently have 4 Volvos now and I think this is now my favorite over my ‘02 v70xc that needs a head gasket. My other 2 are p1s. I’ll can’t wait to start in on fixing this xc90 up...

Funny noise, alternator belt fell off.
Thankfully it died right in front of my house after a spirited short drive. Lo and behold, popped the hood and this is what I found. Ordered a new crankshaft nut and once installed, everything was good to go. Said a little prayer, cause I think I dogged a giant bullet. IMG_4458.jpeg IMG_4449.jpeg IM...

Re: Cannot get the front left driver axle back IN to the transmission all the way.
Also wondering if the freezing temperatures have possibly hardened some grease that’s in the axle socket in the transmission. If the measurements of the parts, old to new, are identical, it should go in.
