Thank you, Mine is 82.4mm Diameter, 50.5mm height between the top edge and the very bottom of the skirt.
Also, both of my skirts are the same. I've seen a different type that has two notches cut out of one skirt.

2001 xc-70 2.4T Piston compatibility with other years.
My #2 piston melted the other day. I pulled the head and the Cylinder wall has melted aluminum on it, but I believe I can clean it off. I'm Looking at used pistons, but I don't see any for a 2001. I see some for 02'+, 98',99',00' and of course N/A which will not work at all. Does anybody know if one...

Re: Transmission service required check light
After reading through a few other threads about p0810 and the fact that it's exclusively 2001 models with the code, I'm convinced that it's the code for neutral control. The good news is that if the code is set the car will not go into neutral while stopped, the "feature" is disabled, the ...

Re: Subframe Bushing insert job
Thanks - I saw some vid where the guy used some sort of silicone lube to get them in. Yep - one thing at a time. I am going to do the rear bushings first, then do the fronts after a road test.. I just swapped out two bushings yesterday (for reasons I don't recommend) and used my wheel bearing press...

Re: Subframe Bushing insert job
Every vid I have seen of the job is done with the car on a lift. I wish I had one, so it will done on the ground. I see there is enough clearance under the car to remove the bracket without having the wheels off the ground - and if I drive the car on top of a 2 x 6 board, I think I can reach under ...

Re: Fun and Frolic with the VVT hub
The procedure is really confusing. I thought I had to have the hub fully tensioned and then tighten the 3 bolts on the sprocket. It turns out that it needed to be sitting in the "limit position" aka hold tension while you put the belt on and then let go before tightening the 3 bolts. Fortu...

Re: Oil Filter Stuck
I would buy a new housing before you get too crazy just in case it breaks. Also look into getting a cap style wrench that uses a ratchet. Do you know what size to get? The ones that fit for any size are 3x as expensive. Here's the one that ipd sells: https://www.ctatools.com/index.php?route=product...

Re: I found an error regarding subframe bushings from professional parts Sweden
Very good point about the oval bushings, hopefully you can use the play to achieve a small bit of caster to bring you into spec. I'm thinking about your comment about how the car almost doesn't feel safe to drive, I recall test driving a very clean, low mileage XC70 a couple years ago that had been...
