Update, No, it didn't work. It was too short. I have a good friend who's a wiz in the garage and he cut one end and welded a old screw onto it to give me the length required. This really looks like the way to go to me...trying to figure out if the cups on this are 8mm or not, and if the spring retainer clips come with it.
