It was the brakes!! The caliper was dragging!! New pads and some brake cleaner did the trick!! Thank you everybody!!!!

@scot850 Thank you! Great info. I'll check these items out. However the sound only happens after 20mph but once it's on it makes the sound all the way to stop. And if I stay under 20 no sound..and no sound change when turning steering wheel left and right so I'm hoping it's not cv joint but the boot...

I have a 98 v70 t5 with an unusual sound coming from the drivers side front wheel area. It's sort of a squeal. It only comes on after about 20-30 mph and is unaffected by breaking or steering. Once it comes on it stays on until I come to a complete stop and won't come back on till I hit 20 or 30 mph...

No worries luckily this is my 2nd 850/V70 series estate. I was thinking I might add some jb weld to really stick it in there. And I figured once I get it open just do the pcv system (my first) since I don't know the history...but I'll do the glove check first.... thanks!

Yeah I was wondering if it was just machined in there. I'll do the glove test by this weekend. Not much history on this vehicle unfortunately. So I might be doing the pcv sooner than I planned...

It totally worked!!!! I almost forgot I left the car on and went to bed! Went out and it finally said "CODE" ! Code inputted and wham bam there ya have it! One working stereo.
