all volvo cars have the similar problem.. if you are having coolant loss and cant identify it first start by replacing the expansion tank and its cap.especially if the tank's color is brown instead of white.also the cap fails along with the tank too..

This happened to me before, the solution that worked was to turn my headlight switch from the off position to the fully on position. I bought this very nice v70 2.0t volvo and I have a problem I cant identify yet.the problem is when I pull the low beam&high beam switch towards me it doesnt stay on high beam mode normally it should stay on high beam mode until I pull the switch again.. any comments?
