Re: 99+ PCV question

Abscate thanks again— Neil appreciate the input. My fears lie in removing anything related to the ETM on these 99+ cars while they’re in working order. On a ‘98 I can do the full remove and replace in no time at all. Both engines are passing the glove test right now and I change oil every 4K religio...

99+ PCV question

Hi all- I’ve done two PCV Jobs on ‘98 s70’s— both we’re turbo models. I’m preparing for the job on both my ‘99 NA s70’s and had one question: Is it true that you can remove the PCV breather box with out taking the intake manifold off in the ‘99 and newer cars? I believe that I read this at one point...

Re: Mahle KL 97 filter size question

So strange, I usually buy from rock auto and their parts section is done by make, year, model, engine, so there’s rarely, if ever, a problem with mismatched parts from year to year or fitment. These are like motorcycle sized filters, very odd for them to even have listed.

Mahle KL 97 filter size question

Hi all planning on doing a fuel filter swap on my new project ‘99 s70 NA, not the first time I’ve done this job but I ran into an issue.
Purchased a Mahle fuel filter and was sent these: anyone have any idea what they’re for? Clearly much smaller than the filter I’m aiming to change.

Re: S70 NA Big Decisions

Indeed! They’re very common on campus as well, you were likely to see at least one a day.
Happy wife, happy life :D
And that’s amazing— I have been delivering food/medicine in my black ‘99 for the last two months. Coming up to to 31K under my ownership and running better than ever.

Re: S70 NA Big Decisions

Well a week later and both cars are now insured (insurance cut me a good deal and halved my monthly payments for bundeling). They are driving beautifully after an at home drain-and-fill x2 on both the transmissions. Guess I will be alternating the two over the next few months :)

Re: Volvo 850 stock vs aftermarket audio

Hi I drive an s70 but If the car has a cigarette port my advice is buy a “Scrosche” brand FM Transmitter. It’s reliable for the price and you can bluetooth music or calls. An after market head unit could be a good bet if you have a reputable shop around you— a good head, and front speakers won’t run...

Re: headliner fabric recommendation?

P.S. if you want to REALLY ratchet it up a notch— get the small wood vinyl pieces with adhesive backing and line the head with wood grain :)
