Re: 2010 XC90 AC problem

The part number is 31305844. Some suppliers call it Control Valve while some others call it Pressure Switch. Not sure why it has different name but what i bought was mentioned control valve. Just before I decided the valve was having problem, when the air became warmer (and observed high side pressu...

Re: 2010 XC90 AC problem

Dear Paul, Finally found the problem. It was the compressor solenoid valve. Connected the gauge today for adding gas and the low was giving 70psi while high side was <150 psi. So replaced the solenoid valve, vacuum and refill the gas, and finally the ac works like a charm. I bought the solenoid rece...

Re: 2010 XC90 AC problem

Dear Paul, Thanks for the reply. Another thing that I observed was that when I increased the fan speed (initially it was on 2, increased to 3), then High pressure reduced from 175 psi to 150 psi and maintained there. No change observed on Low side pressure. From that moment, gradually cabin air beco...

Re: 2010 XC90 AC problem

Dear Paul, Thanks for the reply. I have checked and findings as below; 1. Yes the radiator fan is running. 2. Yes the clutched is engaged. The low and pressure side measured when the AC running is 32 psi and 175 psi respectively. Ambient temperature is around 35 deg C. Appreciate further recommendat...

2010 XC90 AC problem

My 2010 XC90 AC is currently behaving quite abnormally. When i started the car and AC, it blows cold air. Then within few minutes if i keep the car idle, then the air will become warmer. But if i drive, it will keep the air cold. I opened the front hood and touched the low side (compressor suction l...
