Now that it's running I dropped past a mate's workshop (he's an auto electrician), the battery actually load tests OK & he's also happy with the charge. He suggested I see how it goes & hooked up a wire so I can short the starter if it does play up again so I can determine if there's a start...

I should be able to get away without driving it for a couple or few days. I figured it was worth asking though - I don't know about anyone else, but the minute I pull one car apart the other car is likely to play up. They must know something.

Hi all, this is my first post here.

I need to removed the instrument cluster from my 740 to drop it off for repairs. Would there be any dramas if I drove the car for a couple of days while the cluster was removed? Besides obviously the gauges not working, etc.
