Just another thought - all battery connections are good and tight. I will double check the negative battery cable to make sure I'm getting a good ground, and clean it off with sandpaper.

I received the part today from FCP Euro and installed it. No luck, but I can now consistently move the key past position III, which I couldn't do in the past.
