If you check my posts on the topic called “Towing with an S60”, I wouldn’t be too worried about towing with an xc70. If you’re looking at the Uhaul trailers, any of them will be fine, with maybe the exception of the tandem axle trailers, and depending on the payload weight you’re putting in there.

I have electric brakes on my 16 foot flat bed trailer and electric controller on my Ford truck. I think they work fine. I like that you can use the controller in the cab to test the trailer brake operation. I have towed 5000 lb with this combination.

Should be an interesting trip, just make sure of a couple things: tongue weight should be 9 to 15 percent of trailer weight so about 300lbs.
