Re: Bought a 243k+ miles 2008 Volvo X90 3.2 on marketplace

finally fixed the broken ground wire issue. I consider it not an ideal fix since I can't route the 2 aftermarket wires to be in the connector. All the slots were filled. For the broken ground wire issue, I thought it was related to my braking but it was all about the left turn signal. I have to brak...

Re: Replace MAP sensor on a volvo xc90 3.2 engine

Just replaced the MAP sensor and code goes away. The old sensor is indeed broken. It's a very quick fix since you don't need to remove the intake manifold to replace the part. Just remove the connector, it was easy for me since the person who last disconnected this broke the securing clips (have no ...

Re: Bought a 243k+ miles 2008 Volvo X90 3.2 on marketplace

I also found the issue with the turn left signal causing door lock open message and internal lights to go off. The common wire loom issue at the door which has a broken ground wire. I have to wait for my de-pinning tool kit to fix it, temporarily putting the ground wire restore my unlock/lock door a...

Re: Bought a 243k+ miles 2008 Volvo X90 3.2 on marketplace

Got the driver seat twist issue fixed for free. The shaft to the gear dislodged due to a broken bracket. I just re-insert them without pulling the seat. Can't really pull them out without sliding the seat so that bolt will be exposed, so do it the hard way, luckily it could be raised. https://www.yo...

Replace MAP sensor on a volvo xc90 3.2 engine

Anybody replaced this MAP sensor on a 3.2 IL engine? It looks like it just needs a twist and pull? I have a code P0107 and when I test it out with live data from my scanner, the pressure always remain the same even at full throttle/high rpm. It was disconnected/loose before and giving me P0105, a wi...

Bought a 243k+ miles 2008 Volvo X90 3.2 on marketplace

I bought a very cheap volvo xc90 on marketplace from a lady that no longer needs it because of the cost of the repair. She bought new tires for it when she purchased it last year and when the drive belt disintegrated she just let it sit for 2 months waiting for a better offer. Interior needs TLC and...

Re: One way clutch or pulley?

I just finished the job without using the alignment tool. Looking at the service manual there is an adjustment screw on the horizontal and vertical sides of the bracket. I think as long as you don't mess with these screws you are fine, things will align. I do notice that if you messed up in the alig...

Re: One way clutch or pulley?

I just purchased a high mileage xc90 and trying to figure out if somebody was able to put back the ac bracket without the alignment jig. The jig is around $150 for 1 item use :( the serpentine belt on mine disintegrated and destroyed the idler and tensioner pulleys, I made a stupid mistake of taking...
