Thanks for the suggestion and boost of confidence oragex! Lifting the engine 1" allowed me to loosen the engine side of the motor mount and sneak a modified hook tool in to drag the washer out. Now I just have to put the rest back together (in the snow; I'm in MN).

I dropped a washer and it lodged itself between the flywheel and the engine block. This is on a 2006 xc90 with a v8. I can get to the washer and move it with a long sharp tool, but cannot slide it up to the point it entered. I've loosened the motor mount, but not sure if I can pry the engine away fr...
