Hi Guys,

I got codes 143 (Front Knock Sensor Signal) & 414 (Boost Pressure Regulation).


What do these mean? What do you think is wrong? What should I check?



This sucks. I just had the car fixed last week, and everything was fine. Now more codes came up!

How are we supposed to find out??? Would the dealerships know for sure?

Bought and installed a brand new battery today. Batteries for Volvo's aren't exactly dime-a-dozen. The only one available has 600 cca. I guess they're a bit of an odd size requirement. I always buy my batteries at Costco. I've never seen anywhere cheaper, and the Costco batteries never gave me issues.

I'll have my battery tested tomorrow and replaced if necessary.

Hi, Read my update above. I think you have a fuel pump issue as well. But first, start with the fuel filter, and new plugs/rotor/dist cap. My old fuel pump had all this crap stuck to the bottom of it, on the screen. The gas tanks on these cars really do accumulate a lot of crap at the bottom. Maybe ...
