You might want to consider Transient Voltage Suppression ( TVS ). One spike over 45V on the 12V line would fry the MC33290. That Zener diode connected to +Vbat on the first page of the MC33290 Datasheet is TVS.

Also this chip is obsolete (out of production), you may want to replace it with mc33290d.

Engine working well now

Today I was able to add a brand new remote(part of key) into my XC90 car using the found PIN and Vdash. Half way passed - I can use the remote for lock and unlock the car now. I still use a funny Thermapack bag to store my immo key and frozen berries during the day to be able to start the engine usi...
