You can find the fuse that provides v to the temp sensor and pull it, see if the v drain disappears.

My limited experience with ETS, once the light comes on or code is set, you have about 5000-10000 miles of driving before limp, mode

Please tell me more about doing the following:
A dice unit is $100, connected a laptop with a download of VIDA is the most powerful solution
You can also buy VIDA on a USB drive, or preinstalled on a laptop.
Both require the DICE interface.

Re: 2002 V70 2.4T When does Radiator Cooling Fan Activate?

turn the AC on, fan should come on,
if no, check the power plug on the fan..
if yes , does the top hose get warm, checking for thermostat opening at operating temp. Could be engine temp sensor at thermostat.

New gear came, I painted the timing marks with touch up paint.
Had to persuade it onto the crankshaft, no slop now.
Blue loctite on the new crank nut.
Idles nicely, no more wandering belt.
I'm considering it solved.

Try what chrism suggested above.
Get a rag and release the fuel pressure after driving the car.
After a few hours, key on a couple of times to prime the rail and see how it starts.
That will indicate whether a stuck injector is flooding the cyl or not.

its a matter of tools, Getting stuff loose isn't the same as having a puller on hand and a counterhold to tighten up the center nut again. Unless you have a trick method for torquing the crank nut again? Thats where I am now, debating whether to splash $50 on the pulley holder or pound it with the u...
