Re: Vida CEM swapping
Omfg! I was under the impression the brick style cem which that looks like one. The cracker is not able to work on it (yet) Now it looks like you have ablitarated the via's!! Now you maybe able to still clone this module. You could try and use usbjtag which can connect to these via the microprocess...

Re: Vida CEM swapping
I was foolish! Feel free to mock me. I have some experience soldering audio equipment, LED's, simpler things. This was much harder, and I rushed it. The short story: I tried to hook up an Arduino Nano to my CEM to run T5Luke's CEM reader. It didn't seem to work - I let the program run for over half...

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Are there any tricks to soldering to these ECU pins? I just had a hell of a day trying to get wires connected. The pads seem to lift at the slightest movement.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
One more question: About how much current is drawn by the CEM for normal operation?
I guess this isn't likely to matter with a properly functioning CEM, but I'm paranoid about overloading it, and would like to set a maximum current limit on my 12v power supply.
Thanks again.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
I received my Arduino Nano today in order to run T5Luke's code on my 2004 V70. I have it set up and compiling the code successfully through Arduino IDE. Now I'd appreciate some instructions on what to do next. 1) For wiring power to the ECU, should I use the 5v output on the nano itself? Or would a ...

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Wow, One year ago I asekd about the possibility of CEM hacking for pre-05 cars, and looks like we already have a solution! Now maybe I can finally activate my heated seats
Thanks to T5Luke and everyone else involved in this effort.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
This is such a cool and useful project. Is there any chance that it will work on 2004s soon?
