Re: Vibrations on idle
Subframe bushings made a huge difference on the engine vibrations that came through the steering wheel. I did the engine mounts ( all 5 ) at the same time. My front hydraulic mount was separated almost completely so that may have been the cause. My XC 70 had 280,000 kms when I did it so all those p...

Re: Stock Volvo s60 2.0t Turbo pressure?
Wheel horsepower stock should be in the neighborhood of 140-150, and crank hp is 178 if you have the B204T5. I think that dyno number you got is an extremely optimistic crank hp, unless you feel like it is pulling very strong. But I don’t think anyone can get 248 hp on less than 10 psi boost. Stage...

Re: Stock Volvo s60 2.0t Turbo pressure?
It's difficult to know how to respond without knowing the stock factory boost. I think you have the B5204T5 but I can't find the stock boost for it. Having said that -- and not knowing the whole story -- I'd want my money back if I was getting only 8.5 psi from stage 2 modifications. What does the ...

Re: Stock Volvo s60 2.0t Turbo pressure?
I don't know the Euro market 2.0 engines. But if history is a guide: low-pressure turbo, perhaps 7-8 psi. High pressure turbo, around 10-11 psi. Sorry my numbers are in psi and not bar. Wastegate turns do not increase boost. Adjusting wastegate can only ever decrease (or increase) the time in which...

Re: Volvo S60 PCV Low Turbo Boost?!
You said in your initial post the PCV was never serviced? They say it's due every 100K, so if there's no history that it was serviced, it's definitely time. I would suspect clogged turbo hosing, or excess sludge in the oil trap, would affect your boost power. In extreme situations, the entire lower...

Re: Volvo S60 PCV Low Turbo Boost?!
8psi pressure under boost or vacuum. ? I get 15-20 vacuum and 5 psi boost when the turbo kicks in. Either way, you're due for a PCV service before the cam seals blow out, you might be leaking some oil already. You can leave the dipstick loose to relieve pressure temporarily. Don't want to lose the ...
