I have the exact same issue.
I’ve replaced the reservoir. New fluid(no change).
I then installed a heavier gear oil. Adjusted the pressure screw underneath the pump. It made a big difference.
On cold star up its perfect.
Still heavy at manoeuvring occasionally. Lift the revs slightly it’s ok ...
