Thanks for taking the time to put that together @Tatonka. Simple job but saved me a few minutes of thinking about it.
First thing that has broken on our 2010 with 83k on it. Not bad!!

Re: V70 AWD Transmission torque mount
Thank you Neil for taking the time to do this. My AWD seems to be holding on ok, but this is a great resource for this perplexing issue.

Re: DIY: 1998 S70 GLT Ignition Tumbler FREE Fix!
Ugh. Just paid to have a new tumbler installed today. I had both the intermittent jammed key and the full 360 degree rotation. Couldn't risk getting stranded. Big bill to swallow though!

Re: odd parasitic drain problem (main fuse 7?)
Here is my thread where I solved my issue, including descriptions on how I tested the alternator circuit in isolation of the rest of the vehicle's electronics to verify the bad diodes on page 3. Lots of helpful stuff that might be of use here. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: odd parasitic drain problem (main fuse 7?)
If you are only seeing 20mA parasitic drain and that is verified as correct and not varying, do the calculation and you can figure out how long the battery should last. My recollection is that 20mA is well within spec. I have an old thread around here where I chased down a parasitic drain on my 855 ...

Re: Synthetic Oil-- why can't you switch back/worth it?
Even if synthetic offered no other advantages, the fact that it can go a year between changes is enough reason alone. I don't mind changing oil, but with 4 cars once a year for each is more than enough. I've also had excellent luck with high mileage synthetic oils greatly reducing oil consumption I ...

Re: Subframe weldnut failure?
When I did the subframe bushings on my 850 I wondered what would happen if those inserts were ever damaged. I can't believe that Volvo provides access to them! Just one more point in Volvo's favor for this platform. Unbelievable.

Re: can't fill gas tank past about 15 gallons
No, I haven't done anything about it. I'm not 100% convinced I have a problem though. On a recent longer trip I think I was able to get about 16 gallons in it and I would not have been surprised if there were still a couple in the tank, so I don't know. The gas gauge never goes to fully pegged on my...

Re: 850 headlight upgrade?
Right, the bracket is there to control glare, and it appears to do this quite well with the 9012's as well. In fact it seems to control it better than the even larger shield on our XC90 I have with the same bulb upgrade. If you aren't comfortable with this, go with the Philips Xtreme Power bulbs for...

Re: 850 headlight upgrade?
The 850 actually has really good headlights. The problem is typically that these cars are now 20 years old and the parts are generally going to be in poor repair. @DeathRex is on the right page in his post above - the absolute first thing to check is voltage at the headlight bulb itself. Do a proper...
