Just did this on my 2012 XC90. Drilled the bolt stud out. I did not start with a small bit. Just went with one a little smaller in diameter than the stud. Took 5 minutes, tops. Once you drill down about 1/2 to 3/4 inch, the nut should come off easily. Good luck.
