Re: 2006 S60 2.5 T (Also 1996 850 GLT)
Hello again....While away on my trip, a large amount of ice fell from a rooftop beside where I was parked and smashed into the passenger side... needless to say I have extensive damage on that side that my insurance will not pay for because of the age (value) of my car. I understand that there are ...

Hello jonesg,
Thanks for the reply... I didn't get a notification so apologize for the late response. Can you replace the integrated relay?
I will get a Vida scan today. And what you're saying is... I should be able to control fan speeds with Vida... and if not, I probably need
an onboard relay ...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5 T (Also 1996 850 GLT)
Thanks for the offer yanga001... I have access to a good scanner and like I said, I pull the PO 111 which indicates a sensor break down. I will get my mechanic to double check coolant levels and go from there. Thanks again.

Hi Everyone,
I went on a 30 day trip and left my S60 parked at a friend's place. 2 things happened... firstly, as I live in Canada, a couple large chunks of ice slid off the roof and dented both doors and quarter panels on the passenger side. Big bummer... But only I can fix that.

Re: Steering Angle Sensor ~ Air Bag Clockspring
Hello erikv11,
So I did what I said and replaced tone rings and ABS sensors at the front, and had codes cleared ... got oil changed along with tire and winterizing so I'm ready to go. I have only driven about 60 kms but so far there has been no reminder of care service for ABS and traction control ...

Re: Steering Angle Sensor ~ Air Bag Clockspring
Once again erikv11.... thanks for the info and guidelines. I think that I will order the parts and proceed with the job while I get my Fall oil change and winterizing. I will post the results but will probably be in a few weeks. Take care and I hope that your Autumn is as beautiful as what is ...

Re: Steering Angle Sensor ~ Air Bag Clockspring
I'm confident my mechanic will replace only what I ask him to.... unless it is a major pain with damage risks to the CV axle when trying to replace the tone ring only. Is it a difficult job to replace the tone ring and reinstall the CV axle? Change out the ABS sensors?

Re: Steering Angle Sensor ~ Air Bag Clockspring
Hello Erikv11,
I just want to thank you for sharing your knowledge. I can check for the axle bolts but the tone rings and ABS sensors will have to be checked over by my mechanic. I do not have a car jack for this type of work.
If the axle bolts are ok... what about replacing both tone rings and ABS ...

Re: Steering Angle Sensor ~ Air Bag Clockspring
Hello All,
Sorry for the delay but I had to get the codes read by an Euro Auto service with a VIDA and lo and behold... nothing about the clock spring but in the category of ABS?BCM module I got "Wheel sensor, left front mechanical error."
There were a couple other faults in my ECM (6140 & 611B ...
