I have exactly the same problem and have done the same attempts to relieve the issue; nothing has helped so far.
Rather than "live with it" I just may trade in the car. Very disappointed.

After watching a couple of YouTube videos about battery replacement I purchased a new battery After struggling to engage the hold-down clamp I am at the limit of frustration The clamp is down low hidden by a cable with a corrugated sleeve. I can't get the 10 mm bolt to engage.
Any tips?
