near Boulder CO to reset CEM on 2001 V70 XC
need help near Boulder CO to reset CEM on 2001 V70 XC Got a fancy scanner? I can bring beverages. Recurring SRS belt buckle signal missing. I tested the Hall effect device in the RH buckle, it works, I think. Somewhere I read to reset CEM THEN SRS. My scanner can do SRS but I don't have a tool that ...

Awesome FCP video, but:
Why the silicone grease on the plastic tube; and
why not trim the plastic tube to the correct length?

Re: Anyone ever replace the carrier bearings on CV axles?
I just found this info: Does anyone have information on this bearing? On the bearing, I can tell it was made in Poland. Here are the numbers on the bearing: 114-879BTNG2KS350. I hope I can get the information on the specs. If someone knows where to buy this bear that will be great. Thanks at https:/...

Re: Anyone ever replace the carrier bearings on CV axles?
I came here just to see if anyone ever managed to replace that bearing. I tried once to get one off and failed. I have a 20T press and accessories. I figured I could cut it off, but never found a replacement source. The one I was trying to remove was made in Poland. I gave up. But someday, I'll prob...

Re: Is it a common thing these days for dealers to refuse to give estimates/quotes?
I have been trying for months to get written (email) contact from any Denver area volvo dealer. I need an inflator recall done, and I need a written quote or tcm software, placing tcm in adaptation mode, replacing some sway bar links and maybe other stuff that a dealer can help with. I have NEVER re...

Re: Aw55-50 sn valve body "B" with solenoids slots up!
Old post, but, wow..... someone put in a valve body with a spring in it? Did any Volvos ever come with that sping installed? I thought the spring was ONLY GM and NIssan/Volvo didn't get them, Anyway, from what I saw quickly reading this saga: Trans got the wrong oil at some point, and it got a VB wi...

Re: ABS module not communicating
Hey Deano1: It sounds like you ONLY messed with the CEM and had it reworked? Then, the upper module stopped talking but everything else works? No work at all on the rear view mirror or stuff topsides? Grounding? new windshield? the below topic, post#3 discusses resetting the uem, but if it can't com...

Re: ABS module not communicating
So, I went to look at the inop abs module and lo-and-behold it was a rather clean looking XemodeX reman. I sent them the serial number and requested history on the unit and never heard anything at all from them. Crickets. I removed the module and pried it open. It was very difficult to open without ...

Re: Vvt Oil leak, block off?
I have seen the VVT modulator wear and develop axial play and barely engage the oil seal in the head. Others report the modulating pulley itself can leak (some had some mini plungers with failing o-rings?) I put the seal out as far as practicable in the head to try to get some engagement and told th...
