Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
I have Sumitomo tires on it now and have had prior good experiences with them. When I had the car in to change the serpentine belt and pulleys they gave me a new V60 T5 Sport Package loaner and it also had similar road noise. Since it had the 19" wheels it even road a little harder. Also just o...

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
It's due the 90k mile inspection soon so will have that checked. Also replaced the steeing servotronic module nehind the glovebox which controls the variable steering feel with no significant change. The car is nice to drive but the ride is still noisy, front seats are not that comfortable (feels li...

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
Thanks! Will probably buy the parts from Tasca and they come to around $330. Might try it myself or let the Volvo guys change them when I have it in to get the DRL's turned off next week. If they want to charge more than an hour of labor then they'll have to explain why.

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
What's the approximate cost fo the belt and pulleys? I changed them on my BMW last years as it was about a 15 minute job but haven't looked into the Volvo yet.

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
Wheel bearing is a possibility I suppose but most bad wheel bearings I've come across will modulate when steering side to side and get louder with increased speed. I read through some old Motor Trend road tests of this model and there was mention of a lot of road noise compared to other vehicles in ...

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
Thanks for the heads-up on the steering effort. It was set on the most effort so reset it to the lowest effort and it's much better. The road noise does vary by road surface but is present on both rough and smooth surfaces.

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
I installed a new set of tires but still a little surprised about how much road noise there is at 10 - 20mph. The steering is also very heavy also at low speeds. My wife finds it difficult to maneuver in parking lots but loves the PCC and BLIS. Will take to the dealer next week to see if anything is...

Re: Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
Bought the car. It does have adaptive cruise, sport package, comfort package, and air pump instead of spare. Tires are aweful Falken M&S and I've already ordered another set of tires. The keyless entry is pretty neat. Someone mounted a Garman on the dash so I have to figure out how to remove that.

Should I buy this 07 V8 S80?
Looked at this silver w/black interior S80 V8 yesterday with 88k miles on it. It has some light scratches (like from bushes) on one door but otherwise nice cosmetics. I assume it has the sport package since it has the 18" Zubra wheels, three suspension modes, and ventilated seats. It also has s...

2001 V70 Sunroof
Opened the sunroof up to investigate a rattle noise a found a long metal bar sitting inside the sunroof opening. Volvo said nothing they could do and to take the car to a glass specialist. Evidently the metal piece came loose from underneath the front of the sunroof glass. This shouldn't take too mu...
