disintegrated bump stop bolt 1998 V70

This is what's left of the driver's side bump stop bolt. It appears that the bolt has fused with the frame. What are some options to repair this, and if I can't get it done on my own at home, what's the best way for me to get the vehicle roughly two miles to a mechanic? I think I have mentio...

Re: What have you hauled in your Volvo?

Where does one fly fish in Iowa? I assumed it was all in Montana or Scotland...? Iowa has some trout streams in the northeast of the state. It’s beautiful country! I don’t live anywhere near that part, and only get to go a few times a year. But, you can catch any fish on a flyrod! Good on you for t...

Re: What have you hauled in your Volvo?

It isn't big or heavy, but rigging up 9' long fly rods at home to teach local youth to fly cast is my favorite thing to haul.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

After further searching today, I believe I have an idea what I need to order for the springs. I'm assuming the rusted out chunk is the coil spring spacer? I'll take a look tonight.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I’m replacing the rear shocks, and got quite surprise on the left rear. As I was loosening up the top nut on the shock, there was a “clank” sound on the ground. It appears that a mounting bracket of some top for the rear springs rusted out? The top of the spring and bump stop lodged in the rear whee...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

It's been a year or so since I posted here. 1998 V70 base model. I replaced the left front CV axle. What a pain to remove! I tried everything from my initial searches online and in my trusty Chilton manual, but it took a third or fourth deeper dive online to discover mention of an axle popper. I ord...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I changed out the right front control arm. It took about an hour total. The other side took weeks.
