Same Here Sveedy! We have a good supply of offcuts to support our cars when up on jacks, especially since I found out that I've been using those recalled Harbour Freight jack stands!

Re: Driver's Seat Reupholstery/Swap
That sums it up, it's a rare find. We have around 8 PnP's in and around Baltimore who get in a lot of quality cars, many break your heart that they're being cannibalized. Back last winter I thought I had found I great driver's seat in a mint condition sedan, bought it, and cleaned it up, only to fin...

Re: Driver's Seat Reupholstery/Swap
Thanks, knock on wood the seat on our old xc70 are hanging in there, but I would suspect that it's the same operation.

Driver's Seat Reupholstery/Swap
After countless trips to the pick & pull yards near me trying to find a (second) replacement driver's seat as the one I put in years ago (not perfect then) now looked bad. I've had zero luck now that the remaining '90s examples showing up can now be plated with "historic" tags. Frustra...

Misfire 1310 & 304, 305 codes solved.
Checking the obvious first remains the best advice, too bad I often don't take it. Tried & checked everything to determine why 850 Turbo wagon started misfiring one day months ago. No vacuum leaks, replaced bad (incorrect) plugs, checked compression, coil, etc.. Then, while staring hopelessly at...

Re: Tapping after head off repair.
I haven't run the engine for more then a few minutes, fearing that I was damaging the head. I neglected to soak the lifters before putting the head back in. Sounds like I just need to run it.

Tapping after head off repair.
Had two stuck exhaust valves, and non-functioning turbo unit on 850 Turbo, following word for word directions on Tracy's Soaps and other postings, replaced valves, rebuilt turbo charger. Refilled with new oil, added some Marvel Mystery Oil to dry cylinders before turning her over. Unlike before this...

Re: Engine bolts w/ springs attached, location?
Which one? The shield which is vertical & against the head uses 4 bolts to attach. The rounded shield which attaches to 1st shield uses 2. Thanks!

Engine bolts w/ springs attached, location?
Am just reassembling '96 850 Turbo wagon, following repair of stuck exhaust valve. Have two bolts which have conical springs attached, have no memory of where they might have come from on the engine. Anyone know?
