When you say that do you mean the signal for the oxygen sensor is open loop on cold start?

Re: 94 850 Turbo Sedan - Runs Rough Until It's Restarted
I like that theory, I looked into that exact problem few years ago when my car was having surging idle problems making the car undriveable (the problem was the ETM, and I was in extreme denial about it because the ETM was new, lol). I ended up plugging a small gap in the bottom of the flange where t...

Re: Sticking Brake Caliper - 2000 V70
Thanks for the tips on the brackets, when I get in there to do this job I'll have to take a good look at it. As I think I mentioned in this thread I didn't replace the bracket on the front right because the bolts holding it to the knuckle were completely seized. I'll try again to get them off and at...

Re: Sticking Brake Caliper - 2000 V70
Shortly after beginning an hour and a half drive today the rear left caliper seized up and began to burn, squealing noise and terrible smell of burning brake pad. New calipers ordered to replace all 3 calipers I did not replace in this thread to go along with the all new pads I bought for all corner...

More Aleve will probably be needed later! Hope everyone in the NE is managing well with the snow... I think we're done for the year, we already had an absolute blizzard by NC standards! I'm ready for spring, I can't handle the cold... the low 40s we've been dealing with the past few days in unbeara...

Re: S70 Transmission Problem
Is it common that transmission shift issues are caused by the TCM or is it failing solenoids on the valve body? Or maybe an even mix of both? I ask because my car has an occasional 2-3 flare that is heavily exasperated by putting the car in park and back into drive without shutting the car off or by...

Then keep my original GKN axle, rebuild with new joints in anticipation of replacing said low-cost axle when the time comes. Currently planning on doing the same as this. The front left axle outer boot has been leaking for a while, and has begun to pop when turning sharply (I suppose this could be ...

Re: 2000 V70 - Low heat from HVAC
The job is done! There wasn't any obvious copper stop leak in the old core like I thought there might be. I might try to flush the old core with water just to see what happens. It's definitely not the original heater core, but I don't know how old it is or what brand it is, appears to have been a ch...

Re: Sticking Brake Caliper - 2000 V70
I was initially going to replace the bracket but it was well and truly seized to the knuckle. I decided to clean the old one and leave it since I didn't need to take the rotor off. Not looking forward to dealing with that when the time comes. I decided to keep the old pins since I read that aftermar...
