The pressure actually drops, it was checked with a pressure gauge.volvolugnut wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 13:39 I would try to connect a mechanical pressure gauge to the oil system for independent reading of oil pressure. This would confirm low oil pressure without the sensor or electrical connections questions.

If I am following your original post correctly, you did several service items, including replacing the oil pump. When you started after the repairs, you had initial low oil pressure? This sounds like normal short delay until the oil pump primed. Do I understand the situation correctly? volvolugnut ...

Diesel threads aren’t real common here, hopefully somebody can come along and offer some help. My thought goes to the oil pump — uncertain how hard that is to get to on the diesels. On the five cylinder petrol engines it’s very common at higher mileage for the oil pick up O-rings to get hard and st...

Low oil pressure S60, 2012, D3 163hp(120kw)
Hello, I replaced all the sensors, the valve, tried a thicker oil, regenerated DPF (most likely there was diesel in the oil from the firing tests), replaced the oil pressure pump. In VIDA I noticed a momentary drop in pressure, after dynamic drive (literally 2 seconds) to 170 kPa, at this moment an ...
