Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Use high quality fuel hose rated for fuel injection. Check pressure rating on the side should be at least 5-6bar. Avoid using worm gear style clamps and rather use specific for fuel system. You can always buy proparts unit from fcp or amd from ipd and if failed remove the assembly(you are a pro at ...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Thanks Abscate,
I ended up placing two o-rings on the outlet and a zip tie around the hooks on the fuel pump motor, and have driven it about 100miles since. Glad to hear you also used a zip tie.

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
The car is definitely a sleeper right now. I would like to be able to daily drive it (or at least weekly!). Unfortunately the OEM fuel pump is NLA and I've read that the ProParts Sweden replacement is unreliable. The root of my issue seems to be the totally shot suspension in the rear, such that the...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Great many thanks for update. My old friend was always saying " better is the worst enemy of good" . If this happened to you ones, chances are it will possibly happen again. I would look for instruction for AEM UNIt instalation. Maybe previous owner missed a part or a step. If all looks l...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Hello all, I'm finally posting an update and providing closure on this issue. Upon further inspection, there was an access panel already cut in the floor for the fuel pump. The pump (which apparently been updated to a 340 LPH AEM unit) had slipped out of its tube, such that it was not pumping to the...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
I think that you need a good scanner or vida dice and some time to work through those issues. Question if the spike in current or disconnected terminal created short circuit somewhere in electronic system. Incorporating some advice from above: 1. Move car to the area where you can work on it. 2. Re...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Hi all, I haven't had time to get back to the car yet. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated as things change. Thank you very much for the information and detailed procedure. I am in the downtown LA area, and the car is stranded up in Pasadena. I am debating whether to AAA tow the car to my home ...

Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Hi all, I have recently acquired a 1999 V70R with 216000 miles. The car has been running great for about 200 miles since replacing a leaking radiator. After driving the car a few nights ago, I parked and realized I had lost all electric power. The battery had jumped out of the tray (in need of new s...
