Re: ‘99 S70 AWD Coolant Leak 9186487 9186849
Sorry if replying to old threads isn’t allowed. I had another coolant leak. Turns out, the bulkhead fitting cracked internally, leading to a puddle on my floor. Oh well. I took everything out again, gutted the bulkhead, and cut the aluminum hardlines short. I snaked through some heater hose, got eve...

Re: 2004 volvo c70 LPT oil burn/leak questions
I had the same issue and symptoms as you. Drips on the ground, burning oil smell, and a bit near the cap, although I believe that was just the cap’s seal going bad. It was the turbo drain line. Easy to work on most LPT’s, but my AWD was a pain. Here’s the link to the gasket kit: https://www.ipdusa.c...

S70 O-Ring Identification
Hello Folks, After getting my ‘99 S70 up and running, I finally moved her out of the garage and found this O-Ring on the floor! I recently replaced my heater hoses and coupler o-rings. The things I pulled from the car during this project are: - Airbox and intake - Lower radiator hose - Both heater h...

Re: ‘99 S70 AWD Coolant Leak 9186487 9186849
Thanks for all the help. I was able to get the job done, but I had to wait until after the holiday season to get it sorted. The biggest PITA was the crimps on the copper elbows. I tried it with a hacksaw first, but eventually just took it slow with a dremel. Replaced the yellow connectors and o-ring...

Re: 1999 Volvo V70 GLT (P80) Central Locking, Fuel Door, and Hatch Failure
I had this issue a few months ago, also on a 99. The wiring harness on my drivers side door was eaten through, and I had to fix a few broken connections that went into the drivers door control panel. Same symptoms as yours (Hatch release not working, intermittent central locking), but mine was causi...

Re: ‘99 S70 AWD Coolant Leak
Success! Thank you abscate and Neil for the assistance. The leak was coming from this fitting here:
Tracing the hose back leads to here:
Does anyone know the measurement of the hose off the top of their head? Also, is there supposed to be a clamp or something here?

Re: ‘99 S70 AWD Coolant Leak
Thanks for the assistance Neil. I’ll check all the mentioned and report back once I have a chance to get to it again. The angle gear was being a PITA and I couldn’t get a good look at the turbo lines.
On a side note, I think this photo is pretty poetic.

‘99 S70 AWD Coolant Leak 9186487 9186849
Hey all, When I was driving home on the highway, Ol’ Girl here threw a smokeshow and gave me the red coolant light. There was a massive puddle of coolant when I got it towed, and now that I have some time I decided to try and diagnose it. The leak is coming from the drivers side, and it flows like a...

'99 S70 AWD Coolant Sensor Light
I've been having an odd issue with my S70's expansion tank level sensor. I recently replaced one that went bad with an OE unit I bought from ipd. However, now the light will stay on for about a minute after a cold start. Putting it into drive and inching forward a bit will make it go out instantly, ...
