I always unscrew the oil filter cap to break the vacuum and then go under and drain the oil. If the oil filter cap was still sealing the housing it may not let it drain back. It's a good 1/2 qrt of dirty oil left. Also I believe these 3.2 have a oil level sensor that may get gunk and stick.
