The bottom of the V70 tailgate window sits in a rubber + wire core weatherstrip channel. My weatherstrip channel has corroded and is popping out at both ends. Has anyone replaced this weatherstrip channel? Can this be done without removing and resealing the back window?

Concur with suggestion to loosen mounting bracket before attaching strut to interior mount. This makes life much, much easier.
I was able to get OEM Volvo struts (2) from autopartsworld.com delivered to my home for $95.
