I have a leak and see antifreeze running down the side of the block. I don't have any white smoke or steam out the tailpipe, no oil in the water. I am wondering if it is most likely the top seal on the waterpump. I think I would try that first anyway.

Thanks Bill. I will take a look at it later on today. My 940 is also having some problems along the same line. Light coming on at half brightness, not upshifting and so on. I will take a look at that as well. In the 240 the light goes on and off as it should but nothing else happens.

Where do I find the shift lockout relay? I think it has gone the way of aging Volvo Relays and needs cleaning and resoldering. The light goes on and off but no shifting occurs. My old 240 with 250,000 KMS has no brake lights at all. One bulb has an after market cocket so I suspect a wireing error. How can I troubleshoot this? Perhaps a wiring diagram would help?

I need to remove the inside driver's door panel to access the locking mechanism. How do I go about this?

I am having problems with the central locking. No click, nothing at all. Where are the relays located, are there any hidden fuses in line? I have looked at the relay board behind the ash tray and see a selection of relays. I really need a wiring diagram and relay layout.
