Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

Yesterday -- Brother and I completed delta link replacement (finished both sides as opposed to only one) and replaced rear brake pads on the '99 V70. Pads were shot. Delta link went really well since we made all our mistakes (or should I say maximized our learning opportunities?) a few weeks ago on ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!

Ok, it was yesterday, but replaced the transmission buckle mount, oil and filter change and ATF drain and fill to Ruby Red (2004 XC 70). Shifts like butter now, not that it was bad before, after a 2nd drain and fill since acquiring back in December 2018. ATF still dark (I know, I know, it's only the...

P80 Delta Link Tool (Used) $100 shipped

I have an aftermarket P80 delta link tool. I used it 2x to do my '99 wagon which I will sell in the Fall. It's the last P80 in the fleet, so I can't see needing the tool again. It looks just like the legit Volvo tool and was advertised as being stronger. $100 shipped from 07853. $15 cheaper for loca...

Re: 2004 S60 seat cover

Look for my review of Elwood Industries seat covers on this site from probably 7 or 8 years ago.

Re: 2006 V70R head gasket leak -- weighing options

I can get a T3 mill with 62K miles on it . . . Yep, 62K miles -- still, I will most likely go with a T4 with 160K miles. Local seller, free delivery, 1 year parts AND LABOR warranty (up to $75/hr).

Yeah --- Looking for reliability. I guess the hunt for the B5254T4 continues, although, truth to tell, I don't push the car hard.

Anybody know whether a B5254T3 would be compatible? Thanks.

Re: 2006 V70R head gasket leak -- weighing options

Machine shop work, gasket, anaerobic sealant, valve stem seals, new head bolts and proper head removal tools start to approach cost of used engine for uncertain result. Not sure I'm with you on that one.

Re: 2006 V70R head gasket leak -- weighing options

The one (unsuccessful) head R&R I tried previously involved a helper snapping off a head bolt in the block. We got it out with much gnashing of teeth and engineering language and a lot of time, but the engine leaked oil from the head thereafter and ultimately went to Valhalla. Thus my inclination to...
