Re: What Boost/Vacuum Gauge are you running?

Well it turned out great, color matching looks excellent. I've read where guys have wired to the hazard button. I've been considering doing what this guy did HERE . I wasn't aware that Polestar offered tuning for these old cars, good to know. Pretty respectable "optimized" numbers. Where does your ...

Motor oil - if the Rotella T6 is ACEA B1/B3 (uhh, damn, memory fails me - search for the proper spec) and full synthetic, you're good.

No mention of the Volvo spec or did I miss it?

Re: Fuel Pressure varries

For a dirt-cheap test, swap the fuel pressure sensor. On the fuel rail, front of engine. One screw holds it in. Bleed fuel pressure, remove screw, hold a towel around it and twist it while you pull it out, swap it with another one from the junk yard and see how your car is after that.

Re: Fluid Replacements on 2006 V70 2.5T

In the radiator, I use Zerex G05. Power steering fluid is Pentosin CH11 (going from memory here, but it was superseded with CH202? do a search to be sure). Don't recall what brake fluid I used, but it's common and nothing special. Motive POwer Bleeder is a lifesaver. Trans - I used about 13 quarts o...

I’m sticking with my Steelies
Steelies? I'd love to get a set of 17" steelies for mine. Did you use the Ford Escape ones?

Ideally, I'd love the look of the old Chevy/Ford steelies with the tiny slits, but the customs I've seen aren't Volvo bolt patterns and would cost a fortune anyway.

Re: V70 T5 radiator replacement - removal from top

Much easier to drop out bottom. Agreed. If you remove the bumper cover, I'm not sure you even have to jack the car up. I had mine on jack stands, but with the bumper cover removed, you drop the radiator (or entire pack of radiator/IC/condenser) and angle the bottom of it forward and slide it out. T...

You can cut off the 'molded' end of the hose that connects to the overflow jar, then push it back on and snug it back up.

Re: can the voltage regulator be changed with the alternator still in the car?

I did it on my 2006 V70 turbo with the alternator in the car. I don't think there was anything special to it, other than a little tedious to access. I think I slid my arm in from behind it, under the intake manifold.
